SOGI-UBC

SOGI UBC is an initiative of the Faculty of Education that aims to nurture an inclusive culture, workplace and learning environment for faculty, staff, and students in the Faculty of Education. This initiative reaches out to other faculties and institutions to develop inclusive climates and practices, especially as they relate to SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity) topics, and encourages intersectional ways of thinking about sexual and gender diversity along with race, age, ability, and other areas of marginalization, as well as pedagogical approaches to recognize and intervene to transform the impacts of systemic discrimination.
